February!  The month of love!

The month, you’d think, we were slammed with weddings on the 14th day.  Booked out for a year ahead of time!  So busy, our own loved ones feel ignored and forgotten.

Well, you’d be wrong.

Surprisingly, very few people seem to want to get married on Valentine’s Day these days.
There are a variety of reasons why people might not want to get married on Valentine’s Day. Some people might feel that it is too cliche or cheesy, while others might want to avoid the crowds or the chilly weather.

Whatever the reason, let’s just say the Mrs. gets her annual flowers, card, and lots of hugs and kisses from all of us.

Here are the numbers from this month:

  • This month, we booked an easy 10 weddings.
  • The amount of sales we made this month was $7,589.09
  • The biggest cost for us each month is permit fees. We paid a total of $584 in permit costs.
  • We actually had no cake or flower orders this month. So, no expense there!
  • That brings our total expenses to $584 (not taking into account fuel costs, on-the-road food, taxes, and other incidentals).
  • Total profit in February comes to $7,005.

February is another one of our slower months. However, what’s slow on the “out in the field’ side of things, it’s the complete opposite situation in the home office.

Email season really ramps up in February for those couples who are planning on a spring or summer wedding.  It is definitely not a time to sit around and sip pink champagne all day.

I mean, you still can, but it may affect your spelling when typing emails all afternoon.

But I won’t judge.
