The busy months of any business can feel like a blessing and a burden all at the same time.

On one hand, there’s no better feeling than being profitable and having your hard work pay off. But on the other hand, too much success can lead to burnout if you don’t manage it properly.

For elopement planning entrepreneurs, this is especially true. You will likely have many bookings during certain parts of each year that could cause excessive workloads for short periods of time – as well as extended hours that can take its toll on your well-being over time. It’s important to be prepared for these times so that things run smoothly and stay manageable instead of getting overwhelming quickly.

First and foremost: get organized!

Make sure everything is planned ahead and easy to access when needed – from add-ons like chairs or flowers, to vendor bookings and wedding schedules; nothing should seem disorganized or rushed when it comes down to crunch-time leading up to the big month.

Having everything laid out in advance will help ensure deadlines are met without any last-minute stressors arising. As an entrepreneur running a small business (especially within the wedding industry), organization is key; not only will it keep things running efficiently but also make sure everyone involved remains calm throughout the process with minimal surprises popping up along the way (fingers crossed!).

Second: know your limits!

This goes back to keeping yourself healthy both mentally & physically during these busier times – remember: self-care isn’t selfish!

Being able to recognize what works best for YOU during those peak seasons may vary depending on individual preferences, but ultimately making sure you’re taking regular breaks while working long days/nights is important so that exhaustion doesn’t set in prematurely (and risk compromising quality service).

Whether it’s scheduling more frequent check-ins with your massage therapist or delegating some tasks where possible, do not let yourself become so overwhelmed by all of life’s demands that you break down.

Finally: embrace flexibility!

A lot may change between booking dates & actual event days which means staying flexible enough in order accommodate changes (i.e., venue switch ups, weather fluctuations) without becoming frustrated/overwhelmed is essential when engaging with customers & vendors alike.

Not only will this help avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings but it will also show that you are invested in providing exceptional service with the goal of achieving a successful event for your clients.

The busy months can be both a blessing and a burden, but with the right attitude and preparation, they don’t have to be! By getting organized, knowing your limits & embracing flexibility – you’ll be able to handle those peak times without feeling overwhelmed or burnt out.

So take some time to plan ahead & set yourself up for success when things start picking up – because being prepared is one of the best ways to manage any business’s busiest season(s).

Oh wait… you want numbers? 🙂

  • This month, we booked 65 weddings
  • The amount of sales we made this month was $54,852.38
  • The biggest cost for us each month is permit fees. We paid a total of $3,840 in permit costs.
  • Our other two main expenses are to the florist and baker: $2200.
  • That brings our total expenses to $6,040 (not taking into account fuel costs, on-the-road food, taxes, and other incidentals).
  • Total profit in October comes to $48,812.38

That’s not bad, considering you can get a pretty decent hour-long massage for about $100 (including tip) around here.

And a nice bottle of Jameson for those really long days.

Do you see yourself being so busy at a business you created and run yourself that you bring in nearly $50,000 in a single month?
